Job description
Requirements:
A relevant PhD is required at both levels of appointment
At Lecturer level:
Demonstrated research ability and potential Established publication record is a strong advantage Preferred track record of competent teaching Post-graduate student supervision is a strong advantage Prior record of service is an advantage
At Senior Lecturer level:
Established independent research profile Proven capacity to teach and supervise at tertiary level Preferred sustained record of research supervision especially at MA and/or PhD level Established track record of academic administration is a strong advantage Established track record of fundraising is a strong advantage
Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to immediately integrate into the Departmental community and will need to teach large and diverse classes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, cooperating with colleagues in advancing the objectives of the Department, and contributing actively to the intellectual, communal and administrative life of the Department and University.
