Purpose of Job

  • Lead the design of key processes and delivery of transactional and operational Human Resources services to provide support to Sasol.
  • Ensure that all transactional HR services are delivered timeously and accurately. These include.
  • Liaise and engage with the HR teams to obtain a good understanding of their requirements and ensure delivery of services on agreed scope, quality, and performance requirements.
  • Responsible for developing the Southern African wellbeing strategy, providing fit-for-purpose wellbeing solutions that enable sustainable business performance.
  • Drive Guiding Principles, Priority Personas & Employee Experience Journeys

Key Accountabilities

  • Define core processes required to implement and deliver HR Transactional Services and design protocols for how these should be implemented to deliver against agreed service levels.
  • Develop and present reports and briefs to the Executive leadership teams, Board Committees, senior management, key stakeholders, and consultation committees.
  • Develop and enforce service and delivery standards for all HR Transactional Services to ensure these meet the requirements of business and HR teams.
  • Lead and manage enrolment and onboarding transactional services to ensure new employees are able to transition into their new jobs effectively and without delay. Provide exit management transactional services to enable exiting employees with all the information and process guidance needed to exit the organisation.
  • Lead the implementation of transactional services of recruitment, wellbeing benefits environment to ensure employees have all the information and support needed in this regard.
  • Lead implementation of transactional services for recruitment, learnership recruitment and onboarding, bursary scheme, graduate development programme support, professional and learnership registration and new employee orientation. These serve to ensure that new employees and graduates have all the administrative support they need when joining the organisation.
  • Lead continuous improvement, enablement, and governance of all HR transactional processes for payroll and benefit centre, recruitment, training, and other HR services to ensure sustainable business objectives and best practices.
  • Oversee the updating, management, and safekeeping of all employee records to ensure accuracy of data in this regard.
  • Ensure the implementation of effective and efficient processes and continuously improve and automate transactional aspects of the service offering including the use of appropriate digital technology.
  • Provide steer on the standardisation of all HR transactional processes within Southern Africa to drive continuous optimisation and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to Sasol, legal and other statutory requirements related to personal information of employees which includes continuously reviewing changes in legislation or regulations that have an impact on this matter and make the necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
  • Lead the implementation of appropriate measures (KPIs) to manage and provide efficient HR services with the objective of driving high levels of service satisfaction.
  • Measure and close performance gaps through the execution of continuous business improvement initiatives.
  • Promote, embed, and ensure consistent implementation of employee experience and measurement framework across the business.
  • Embed and promote design-thinking, experiential models, and agile methodologies in the design of HR programs, processes, and policies, to enhance engagement and delight.
  • Provide strategic direction for the design of engagement delivery components to ensure it aligns with the value drivers and cultural framework of the organisation.
  • Develop retention strategy to be an employer of choice and build employer branding.

Formal Education

  • University Bachelor’s Degree
  • Post Graduate Degree (Wish)
