Senior Materials Technician

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Materials Technician, located in Limpopo, South Africa. The Senior Materials Technician will be responsible for overseeing material testing and quality control activities on site, ensuring that materials meet project specifications and industry standards. The role involves handling and inspecting materials, conducting laboratory tests, and collaborating with project teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in material application.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of BSM testing is required.
• Experience requirements: No formal qualification: 20 years of materials testing experience required, National Diploma in Civil Engineering: 10 years of materials testing experience required, National Diploma in Civil Engineering and registered as a Pr Engineering Technician: 5 years of Materials Testing experience required
• Knowledge and expertise in Quality Control and Inspection processes.
• Experience in Material Handling and understanding of material properties and behaviours.
• Proficiency in Materials testing and analysis.
• Strong Laboratory Skills, including sample preparation and equipment operation.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical findings clearly.
• A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, is preferred.
• Familiarity with industry-standard testing procedures and tools is an advantage.

Pay: R35 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
