Senior .NET Developer (iOCO0133)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join our team on an initial 6-month contract. This role will suit a seasoned developer with strong back-end development expertise, experience building scalable APIs and microservices, and exposure to modern front-end technologies. The ideal person will be comfortable working in a cloud-first environment and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions within Agile delivery teams.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using the Microsoft technology stack.
• Develop and support scalable back-end services, APIs, and microservices.
• Build and enhance modern web-based user interfaces using contemporary front-end frameworks.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Development teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Develop and optimise database structures, queries, and stored procedures.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and promote development best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Support deployment and integration activities within an Azure cloud environment.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Power Platform solutions where required.

Your Expertise:

• Essential
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in software development.
  • Extensive experience developing applications using:
  • .NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET
  • C#
  • RESTful APIs
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Strong experience designing and integrating APIs and back-end services.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles and development best practices.
    • Strong database development experience, including:
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • SQL query optimisation
    • Stored procedures
    • Data modelling
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Front-End Experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Blazor
  • Angular
  • React
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • HTML5 and CSS3
• Advantageous Experience
  • The following experience would be highly beneficial:
    • Microsoft Azure cloud services.
    • Azure App Services.
    • Azure Functions.
    • Azure DevOps.
  • CI/CD pipeline implementation and support.
  • Containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Integration platform experience.
  • Power Platform development, including:
    • Power Apps
    • Power Automate
    • Power BI
    • Power Platform integrations
