Job description
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer for our client in Rooderpoort, Gauteng.
Requirements -
- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- Certifications - Professional credentials such as CCNP, CCIE, or cloud networking certificates are heavily preferred
- Experience: 5+ years working in enterprise network engineering or architecture.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP.
- Hardware & OS: Proficiency with major vendor ecosystems like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet
- Network Design & Deployment: Architect scalable LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-integrated network solutions, Troubleshoot networking systems but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, access points and reverse proxy (F5)
- Security & Maintenance: Configure enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies to maintain data security.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams and network management software information for all areas of the network
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor network traffic, trace bottlenecks, and fix stability issues.
- Incident Escalation: Resolve Tier-3/advanced technical support tickets and complex network outages.
- Work with OEM Technical and servoce teams to maintain, troubleshoot and correct technical issues.
- Work with a ticketing system to document, prioritize and resolve support requests.
- Ensure a high level of end user satisfaction through ownership, resolution and appropriate escalation of issues and support tickets.
Pay: R29 955,38 - R86 382,16 per month
