Job Type Contract Occupational Function Support / Admin Number of Positions 1 Annual Salary Package (incl. Medical Aid rate based on principal member only) To be confirmed Advert Closing Date 5/7/2026 Job Purpose The Senior Officer: Industry Partnerships will lead strategic collaborations with industry, government, academia, and civil society to advance CPUT’s innovation and engagement agenda. By implementing the 4x4 engagement strategy, the role supports research, teaching, and innovation integration, strengthens external partnerships, and enhances CPUT’s impact in the quintuple helix ecosystem. The officer will also nurture links with incubators, science parks, and innovation platforms to position the university as a driver of technological and societal advancement.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Innovation Management, Business Development, Partnerships, Science/Egineering, or Economic Development (NQF 8)
- 2–4 years experience, with at least 2 years experience in a partnership-facing or industry engagement role Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
