Senior Operations Manager rapidly Growing Commercial Transport Electronics Repair Company - Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal | Full-Time | Permanent

Autolectronix is one of South Africa's leading specialists in the repair and remanufacture of commercial vehicle electronic modules, pneumatics, software solutions and diagnostic services.

As we continue expanding nationally with our new Johannesburg branch and future growth plans, we are looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to help lead the next phase of our journey.

This is not a role for someone who simply manages day-to-day operations.

We are looking for someone who thrives on solving complex operational problems, improving systems, developing managers, understanding financial performance and building scalable business processes.

ROLE

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will oversee the operational performance of multiple departments including:

• Workshop Operations
• Customer Service
• Finance Administration
• Logistics
• Inventory & Procurement
• Human Resources
• Branch Operations
• Continuous Improvement Projects

You'll work closely with departmental managers to improve efficiency, profitability and customer experience while ensuring operational standards are maintained across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership

• Lead and support departmental managers
• Develop operational systems and standard operating procedures
• Monitor KPIs across all business functions
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions
• Improve productivity, workflow and communication between departments
• Drive accountability throughout the business

Financial Management

• Analyse profitability and operational costs
• Monitor budgets and departmental expenditure
• Work alongside Finance on management accounts
• Review costing models and gross profit margins
• Improve financial reporting and operational decision making
• Assist with forecasting and strategic planning

Logistics & Supply Chain

• Improve inventory management
• Optimise purchasing processes
• Monitor stock accuracy
• Improve turnaround times
• Manage supplier relationships
• Assist with branch inventory control

Workshop Operations

• Improve workshop efficiency
• Monitor productivity
• Assist with capacity planning
• Improve repair turnaround times
• Review quality control processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

People Leadership

• Coach and mentor managers
• Conduct performance reviews
• Develop departmental structures
• Improve communication between teams
• Support recruitment and workforce planning
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Strategic Projects

Lead projects including:

• Business process improvement
• Systems implementation
• Multi-branch operational integration
• Workflow automation
• Reporting dashboards
• Continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking ForEssential

• Business Management, Operations Management, Finance or Accounting Degree
• OR CIMA Qualification (or studying towards CIMA)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in senior operations management
• Strong financial and commercial understanding
• Experience managing multiple departments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver's licence

REMUNERATION

BASIC SALARY from R30 000 - R40 000 salary is negotiable and will be based on experience, qualifications and demonstrated capability.

COMMISSION/INCENTIVE Performance incentives and future growth opportunities are available for the right candidate.
