Job description
Main Purpose: To provide strategic leadership across Procurement, Logistics and Facilities Management functions. Responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, driving cost optimisation initiatives, managing supplier relationships, ensuring governance and compliance, and leading high-performing teams in support of operational excellence. To deliver value through strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, contract negotiations, process improvement, risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Performance Areas:
- Identify, evaluate and develop potential BBBEE vendors and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Update Vendor Master data daily.
- Conduct Third Party Due Diligence (TPDD) checks on all new vendors as and when required.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, governance requirements and best practice.
- Administer terms and conditions of purchases.
- Evaluate resources allocation and related risk with the relevant sites.
- Negotiate and conclude framework agreements and/or contracts in line with business requirements.
- Ensure that all purchased are covered by a documents process.
- Drive cost saving as per agreed savings matrix to be entered into the Control Procurement Performance (CPP) toll no later than 4 weeks after initial savings.
- Ensure the timely procurement f goods and services to meet requirements considering delivery lead times.
- Implement and maintain effective Procure to Pay process according to the Internal Control System.
- Review invoices for payment in line with ICS requirements.
- Oversee the management of the Logistics and Facilities Management departments.
- Drive continuous improvement, process optimisation and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Any other job-related duties as required from time to time.

Preferred Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification in Purchasing Management.
- A postgraduate business orientated degree will be advantageous.
- A formal qualification and/or proven track record of people management.
- 7 Years' relevant procurement, accounting and stock management experience, preferably in senior positions.
- Prior leadership positions in the relevant areas/industries.
- Prior management positions are advantageous.
- Exposure to the engineering industry, especially construction and power generation will be a distinct advantage.
