Requirements

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Property

Studies/Real Estate

• At least eight years property valuation experience while

registered with the South African Council for the Property

Valuers Profession

• Computer literacy
• A valid Code EB driver’s license
• Registered with the South African Council for the Property

Valuers Profession as a Professional Valuer or

Professional Associated Valuer

• A relevant management degree will be an advantage

Key Performance Areas

• Ensures uniform application of valuation methodology and

that valuations are executed in terms of legal requirements.

• Coordinates the professional execution of valuations, which

includes checking valuations performed by peers and

subordinates for accuracy and consistency.

• Supervises and controls technical staff in order that the

Section operates efficiently and effectively.

• Liaises with customers and resolves disputes.
• Represents the City at Valuation Appeal Board hearings.
• Supervises and coordinates the collection and analysis of

valuation data ensuring data integrity.
