Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering BSc/BEng or related Engineering qualification.
• Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng.
• Registration with SACPCMP and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) is an added advantage.
• At least 8-12 years’ relevant experience in the industry.
• Experience in design & construction of roads, stormwater, landfills, water, wastewater and water/wastewater treatment plants, building infrastructure.
• Understanding of the importance and use of document control and ISO systems within a design environment.
• Software: MS Office, MS Project, civil engineering design software, Autodesk related software.
• Driver’s license: Essential.

Job Description:

Mamadi and Company (Pty) Ltd is looking for a seniour project engineer. The candidate will be ultimately responsible for

• The design and managing of construction projects (landfill, roads, water and waste treatment projects, waste management facilities, & building infrastructure);
• To develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans.
• Manage resident engineers; determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.
• Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.)
• Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
• Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
• Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and compile reports on project status.
• Manage budget and purchases of equipment/materials.
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc.; and
• Deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required
