Your responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer who has extensive experience in petrochemicals and EPC execution to drive growth and sustainability within the organisation.

A key focus for this position is driving Client engagement to diversify the Client base.

The role includes developing and executing sales strategies for Clients and regions from initial engagement to proposal submission and handover to the project team.

The successful candidate will be required to fulfil the job as summarised below, but not limited to:

• Develop in-depth knowledge of thyssenkrupp Uhde’s technology portfolio and project execution models
• Increase Uhde’s brand presence and visibility in the market by attending conferences and producing articles on technology and service offerings for publication
• Continuously research and analyse markets and opportunities as well as monitor bid sites and platforms
• Develop and implement Client and regional specific strategies. This includes developing value propositions and strategies to tailor the company’s services and offering to the actual needs of the customer
• Manage complex opportunities from pursue to close stage
• Ensure sales process and audit compliance by qualifying leads through the appropriate internal reviews and approvals
• Review tender documents and provide the following:

o Facilitate the “Bid no Bid” meeting to obtain bid decision

o Compile bid initiation documents

o Determine submission compliance requirements

• Assess requirements for global thyssenkrupp support and / or external contractor support
• Facilitate coordination with Engineering, Procurement and Construction to ensure external and internal costs are correct and optimised
• Consolidate inputs and compile estimate
• Develop compliant tender submission documentation including integration and editing of technical and commercial inputs from internal and external parties

Your profile

The candidate must be in possession of an engineering degree / diploma.

The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience.
