Position: Senior SAP MDG Functional Consultant – Finance (S/4HANA FICO Transformation) Location: Sandton (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office) Contract: 10‑month contract (commencing August 2026) Pause: December 2026 Renewal: Anticipated renewal post‑contract, aligned with next project phase
Project Overview
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant to join a critical Finance (S/4HANA FICO) transformation programme. The consultant will be engaged during the blueprint phase and will be responsible for delivering advanced functional configuration within SAP MDG Finance. This role is pivotal to the success of the transformation and requires immediate onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end‑to‑end functional configuration for SAP MDG Finance.
- Drive requirements gathering and solution design during the blueprint phase.
- Ensure seamless integration with S/4HANA FICO processes and structures.
- Establish and enforce finance master data governance frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders and ensure delivery of project milestones.
- Oversee testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive, demonstrable experience in SAP MDG Finance with hands‑on configuration expertise.
- Proven track record in S/4HANA FICO transformation projects.
- Strong background in blueprint phase delivery and finance process design.
- Deep knowledge of finance master data governance and integration.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a hybrid model (Sandton office, 3 days per week).
Seniority & Eligibility
This is a very senior role. Only candidates with substantial SAP MDG Finance experience and the ability to perform complex configuration should apply.

- Duration: 10 months (August 2026 – May 2027)
