Senior Site Merchandiser

This position reports to the: Merchandising Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Work closely with Retail, Marketplace, Discovery Team and Marketing to measure and direct on-site traffic to feature categories and product ranges that ensures continuous visibility of all inventory classes, full margin products, seasonal and trending products, markdowns and new launches in line with business objectives.
• Optimise and work together with discovery team and catalogue product team to continuously improve the integrity of navigation on site and app navigation by means of continuous site checks, sample checking and benchmarking exercises.
• Measure and improve the performance of all site merchandising assets, including landing pages and CMS tools, by evaluating the performance of each merchandising initiative and deployment, developing an analytical framework for performance tracking and learning.
• Benchmark the customer user journeys on all platforms with international best practice and trends.
• Collaborate with product teams and commercial teams across the business and make recommendations for new features and UI/UX to improve site usability, user engagement, navigation and conversion rates.
• Launch new strategic themes and merchandising assets including seasonal landing pages and anchor promotions.

• Weekly/monthly merchandising performance and impact reporting.
• Optimisation recommendations.
• Seasonal merchandising strategies and execution plans.
• Product placement performance analysis and A/B testing results.
• Product positioning strategies.
• New launch visibility tracking and performance metrics.
• Cross-divisional merchandising alignment documents – SOPs.

Site Navigation & Integrity Optimization.

• Navigation audit reports and improvement recommendations.
• Site integrity checklists and quality assurance protocols.
• User pathway analysis and optimisation plans.
• Mobile app navigation performance reports.
• Benchmark comparison studies with competitor sites.
• Sample checking reports and error correction logs.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferable (Preferable post-graduate degree).
• 5+ years’ experience in a high-performance environment in merchandising, content strategy, marketing.
• E-commerce experience is advantageous.

Attributes Required

• Strong competency in analytical tools required.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with website optimisation and engagement tools preferred.
