Senior Software Engineer – Web
Cape Town | Hybrid – 3 days onsite
We’re recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer to join a newly established web engineering team in Cape Town.
This is a hands-on senior role, working on the development of modern, scalable web platforms and helping establish the engineering standards and foundations of a growing team.
You’ll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering, building high-quality customer-facing applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript .
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years' commercial software engineering experience
- Strong hands-on React.js and Next.js experience
- Strong TypeScript skills
- Experience building scalable, production-grade web applications
- Good understanding of APIs and integrations
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility and engineering best practice
- Storybook, design systems or headless CMS experience would be beneficial
