About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist: Master Technician to join our BMW team in Vereeniging. This role focuses on providing advanced technical expertise and diagnostic support to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in leading complex repairs and mentoring junior technicians within a collaborative dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostics and repairs on BMW vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve vehicle issues, employing advanced technical knowledge to identify root causes efficiently.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs and services performed, utilizing dealership software effectively.
• Collaborate with service advisors to provide technical support and convey complex information in an accessible manner to customers.
• Stay updated with the latest BMW technologies, tools, and service protocols to ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new vehicle models.
• Uphold a safe and clean working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the workshop.

Requirements

• Qualified Motor Technician with a relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience in automotive repair and diagnostics, with a particular focus on BMW vehicles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record of addressing complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to colleagues and customers.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment, along with familiarity with workshop management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibiting strong leadership qualities in a workshop setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in BMW-specific training or advanced diagnostics are advantageous.
• Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles would be a plus.
• Knowledge of dealership operations and customer service principles is preferred.
