Requirements
- Relevant B Degree or BTech / Policing Degree
- At least 3 years’ management experience in a
Policing/ Traffic/ Law Enforcement environment, forming
part of a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
- Computer Literacy in MS Office Applications
- Proficiency in two of the official languages of the Western Cape
(one of which is English)
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Valid driver’s license (at least Code B)
- No criminal record or illicit activity recorded
- Must qualify to be registered as a member of the Municipal
Police Service, as per Regulation 11 of the SAPS
Amendment Act, 1995
- Registered as a Traffic Officer
- Peace Officer
- Firearm Proficiency
- Physically fit
Key Performance Areas
- Program, schedule and coordinate policing / traffic
and law enforcement activities and action plans across
more than one operational unit or area.
- Directs and controls the Key Performance Indicator’s and
outcomes of personnel within an operational area.
- Coordinate and monitor the sequences associated
with the implementation of specific plans, statutory laws,
strategies and policies, associated with traffic enforcement
and / traffic flow and / by-law enforcement and / crime
prevention, in a section / operational unit or geographical area.
- Implements procedures, systems and controls to regulate
specific work and related applications associated with the
functionality.
- Control all operational activities related to traffic enforcement
and / by-law enforcement and / crime prevention in a
section / area.
- Address the concerns of members of the public / clients
regarding legislative issues, service delivery, personnel
