Job description
Your Tasks
- Manage technical documentation systems including drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Maintain discipline in engineering processes, approvals, and document control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including modernisation and efficiency enhancements.
- Support CNC milling processes and oversee the development of design models for rotating equipment.
- Execute and review specialised engineering designs (FEA, CFD, rotodynamic studies, mechanical designs, and machinery life assessments).
- Assist in reviewing RFQ requirements and provide technical input and clarifications.
- Analyse inspection and field service reports to recommend repairs, refurbishments, or modifications.
- Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies aligned with Everllence standards.
- Review and enhance the technical library to ensure compliance with “right to manufacture” standards.
- Identify opportunities for local manufacturing of spare parts in line with company policy.
- Optimise operational processes such as materials traceability and manufacturing controls.
- Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting support using global networks.
- Develop detailed technical scopes of work considering cost, quality, and timelines.
- Assess manufacturing feasibility and ensure completeness of technical information.
- Conduct technical evaluations and audits of suppliers and subcontractors.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field ( Postgraduate qualification MSc/Meng advantageous).
- 7–5 years’ experience in a similar operational or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in turbomachinery, including turbines, compressors, gearboxes, pumps, and gas turbines.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
- Control systems (surge protection, speed control, vibration systems).
- Understanding of data structures and ability to collaborate with software developers.
- Proven track record of developing and achieving corporate engineering goals, with strong expertise in tribology and lubrication systems.
