Senior Takealot/ Amazon Marketplace Administrator / E-Commerce Specialist

We are looking for a results-driven and analytical Takealot Marketplace Administrator to take complete ownership of our store operations on South Africa’s leading e-commerce platform. In this role, you will manage end-to-end storefront operations—from inventory forecasting and product catalog optimization to advertising, pricing strategy, and performance metrics tracking. Key Responsibilities

Storefront & Catalog Management: Oversee product listings, variations, pricing, SEO-optimized descriptions, and rich content uploads via the Takealot Seller Portal.

Inventory & Stock Planning: Monitor stock levels closely, manage DC (Distribution Centre) replenishment lead times, forecast sales trends, and prevent stock-outs or excessive long-term storage fees.

Buy Box & Pricing Optimization: Monitor competitor pricing and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize Buy Box wins and conversion rates.

Advertising & Promotions: Plan and manage Takealot Sponsored Ads campaigns, participate in seasonal promotional events (e.g., Blue Dot Sale), and track ROI.

Account Health & Compliance: Maintain excellent account performance metrics (low stock-out rates, low return rates, positive seller ratings) to ensure platform compliance.

Reporting & Analytics: Generate weekly and monthly performance reports covering turnover, profit margins, advertising spend (ACOS), inventory turnover, and top-selling ASINs/SKUs.

Customer Support Liaison: Handle escalated customer queries, returns, queries regarding logistics/packaging guidelines, and resolve logging tickets with Takealot Seller Support swiftly.

Requirements & Skills

Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience managing a high-volume Takealot Seller Portal account (working with third-party merchant accounts or vendor central setups).

Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data management) and familiarity with third-party e-commerce automation tools/ERP integrations.

Analytical Mindset: Deep understanding of e-commerce key performance indicators (KPIs)—conversion rates, sell-through rates, advertising efficiency, and margin calculations.

Logistics Acumen: Thorough understanding of Takealot’s packaging, labeling, booking, and DC delivery requirements.

Soft Skills: High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

3. Recommended KPIs & Performance Targets

To ensure your new hire is adding tangible value, tie their performance reviews to clear, quantifiable targets:

Buy Box Percentage: Maintaining a target win rate of >70% to 80% on core competitive products.

Stock Availability & Forecast Accuracy: Keeping stock availability at the DC above 95% while keeping stock-out ratios to a minimum. Avoid incurring heavy long-term storage penalties by maintaining a healthy inventory aging report (stock turning over within a 60–90 day window).

Account Health Score: Zero risk of account suspension, maintaining low return/defect rates (ideally <3% of total orders), and prompt response times on operational support tickets.

Revenue & ROI Growth: Meeting monthly/quarterly Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) growth targets while keeping Takealot Sponsored Ads ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sale) within a profitable threshold (e.g., maintaining ACOS below 12-15% depending on category margins)

Pay: R6 684,62 - R32 457,02 per month
