Senior Workshop Assistant

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist Diesel Mechanic on preventative and reactive maintenance repairs on all bulk delivery vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and Engen's policies & procedures within acceptable time frames and within the approved budget.

LOCATION:

Dom Pedro Workshop (Port Elizabeth)

WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE DONE BEFORE:

NQF 5 - Higher Certificate

3 Years general work experience in a workshop.

Valid Code EC Drivers License

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Inside workshop, Outside workshop, off site and on road breakdowns, after hours, holiday and weekend working may be requested

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

FLEET MAINTENANCE

• Ensure that the relevant administration is completed, and records are documented
• Ensure that the workshop procedures are followed
• Maintain and adhere to workshop housekeeping, cleanliness and inspections
• Report on all faulty equipment on M.I. T

CUSTOMER & CONTRCTOR INTERFACE

• Interact with customers and service providers
• Work with contractor to ensure deliverables are met
• Provide internal support to the contractor

HSEQ COMPLIANCE

• Comply to HSEQ policies and regulations in terms of PPE, ZETO Rules and STOP Compliance
• Ensure strict compliance to Engen's Health safety and environmental policies

FLEET MAINTENANCE

• Ensure that the relevant administration is completed, and records are documented
• Ensure that the workshop procedures are followed
• Maintain and adhere to workshop housekeeping, cleanliness and inspections
