Service Advisor

About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to enhance our operations. This role primarily focuses on facilitating client relationships while ensuring the efficient delivery of service solutions in a retail environment. You will act as a liaison between customers and our service team, driving satisfaction and trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and evaluate their service needs, providing detailed information about services and repairs.
• Schedule appointments and manage service workflow, ensuring timely completion of service tasks.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and document service history while conveying findings to customers in an understandable manner.
• Prepare and present cost estimates and invoices, ensuring transparency in all pricing and service offerings.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively and professionally, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner and follow up with customers post-service.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in accordance with company policies.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and advancements in vehicle technology to provide informed advice to customers.

Requirements

• Proven track record in a customer service role, preferably within the automotive or related industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
• Demonstrable experience in managing customer relationships and resolving conflicts.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems and terminology is preferred.
• Proficient in using computer software and systems for scheduling and record-keeping purposes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service or repair environments is a plus.
• Certification from an automotive technical school or relevant courses is desirable.
• Knowledge of service department operations and related processes is advantageous.
