We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Service Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance Services (OMS) team at our Cookhouse Wind Farm.

Job Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing and warranty work on Suzlon wind turbines and associated electrical balance of plant. Working under the guidance of the Lead Technician and Service Manager, you will help maximise turbine availability while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on wind turbines and electrical balance of plant.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform standby duties to ensure maximum turbine availability.
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Complete service reports, timesheets and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Assist with daily work planning, task prioritisation and coordination with contractors and customers.
• Promote preventive maintenance initiatives to minimise equipment failures and downtime.
• Ensure the correct use and maintenance of tools, equipment and company vehicles.
• Support inventory management through the correct use of spare parts and consumables.
• Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
• Attend technical training and team meetings while contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Travel to other sites when required.

Minimum RequirementsQualifications

• Recognised Trade Test, Apprenticeship, National Diploma or Degree in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronics
• Or a related engineering discipline

Experience

• Minimum 2 years' hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.

Other Requirements

• Valid driver's licence.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work at heights.
• Willingness to work standby duties and travel when required.
