Job Description
Support site SHE systems, legal compliance, inspections, risk control, incident reporting, training, document control and stores administration. Ensure accurate stock control, safe stores management, production administration and audit-ready records. This position is based in the Safety, Health, and Environmental/Production department.
Main Responsibilities:
SHE, Environmental and Compliance
- Maintain audit-ready SHE files, registers, statistics and records covering inspections, training, appointments, contractors, incidents, audits, PPE, medical surveillance and compliance.
- Assist in updating policies, procedures, risk assessments, safe work instructions and corrective-action trackers; prepare committee agendas, minutes and reports; and follow up on actions.
- Assist in conducting inspections, walkabouts, audits, hazard identification and risk assessments; monitor legal, procedural and safe-work compliance.
- Assist in incident and near-miss investigations, corrective actions, inductions, toolbox talks, refresher training, emergency drills and awareness activities.
- Training records: monitor employee participation, maintain training records and track certifications to ensure they remain valid and up to date.
- Assist in environmental inspections, waste controls, spill readiness, incident follow-up, recycling, hazardous-substance storage and responsible disposal.
- Escalate serious hazards, repeat non-conformances, unsafe practices, missing records and uncontrolled risks.
- Maintain confidentiality, inspection and audit documentation, and support continuous improvement.
Stores
- Manage stock receiving, issuing, labelling, recording, safe storage, bin cards, registers, reorder levels and monthly counts.
- Control PPE, stationery, welfare items, tools, chemicals, consumables, delivery notes and goods-received documents.
- Monitor shortages, discrepancies, damaged or expired stock, storage safety and housekeeping.
- Track orders and invoices and assist procurement or finance with reconciliations.
Production and Administration
- Capture international Agri Technovation stocktake data, batch cards and delivery notes accurately and completely.
- Maintain Quality Smart Sheets and tracking, file LPOs, and compare them with batches produced and litres delivered.
- Check transport invoices against delivery dates and records.
- Prepare laboratory samples and forms, send analysis requests, follow up on turnaround times and check related invoices.
- Assist with leave forms, timesheets, build-time records, office supplies and employee administration.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, housekeeping, stock control and safe storage.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications
- Grade 12/Matric
Experience
- OHS, Environmental Management, SHEQ or related studies are advantageous.
- SAMTRAC, HIRA, incident investigation, first aid, firefighting or similar SHE training is advantageous.
- SHE, administration, stores, stock control, manufacturing or production experience is advantageous.
Other Specific Requirements
- Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook and recordkeeping systems.
- Basic knowledge of SHE controls, PPE, housekeeping and stock control.
- Driver’s license advantageous
Working Conditions:
- Site-based, covering offices, production areas, stores, warehouses and external operational areas.
- May require overtime, stock counts, emergency support, audits and inspections.
- Must be physically able to inspect areas, verify stock and identify unsafe conditions.
