Vacancy: **SHEQ Officer x2 (Clairwood Multi-User)**Role Outline

To coordinate and implement site Safety, Health and Environmental programmes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, DHL standards and customer expectations as well as to implement and maintain Quality and Food Safety Management Systems while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory requirements and DHL standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Compliance

• Conduct workplace inspections
• Conduct risk assessments
• Manage legal registers
• Monitor corrective actions
• Coordinate contractor safety management
• Manage PPE programme
• Facilitate safety meetings

Incident Management

• Conduct incident investigations
• Manage LOGICS reporting
• Monitor near misses
• Inspect emergency equipment
• Maintain emergency plans

Emergency Preparedness

• Conduct evacuation drills
• Maintain emergency readiness
• Inspect emergency equipment
• Maintain emergency plans

Training

• Conduct SHE inductions
• Facilitate toolbox talks
• Monitor SHE training matrix
• Coordinate statutory training
• Conduct quality and food safety training
• Maintain training records
• Support awareness programmes

Environmental Management

• Conduct environmental inspections
• Monitor waste management
• Monitor spill prevention controls
• Conduct environmental awareness training
• Assist with ISO 14001 compliance

Quality Management

• Maintain document control systems
• Facilitate internal audits
• Manage CAPA administration
• Control change management processes
• Track customer complaints
• Support management reviews

Food Safety Management

• Maintain HACCP programme
• Conduct GMP inspections
• Verify food safety controls
• Support recall and traceability exercises
• Monitor temperature-controlled operations
• Manage food safety records

Pest Control Management

• Coordinate pest control contractor
• Verify pest control activities
• Trend pest-related findings

Supplier & Customer Compliance

• Support customer audits.
• Manage supplier quality documentation.
• Monitor compliance to customer standards.

Skills/Experience

• 2–5 years Quality/Food Safety experience
• 2–5 years Health & Safety experience
• 2–5 Warehouse/Logistics environment
• Logistics knowledge and skills
• ISO 9001 experience
• HACCP implementation experience
• SAMTRAC / NEBOSH
• Environmental compliance experience

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
• Quality Management Qualification
• HACCP Certification
