Shift Production Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Shift Production Supervisor to lead and coordinate production activities during assigned shifts.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards while

effectively leading and developing shift personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift.
• Ensure production schedules and daily output targets are achieved.
• Monitor machine performance, efficiency, and downtime, taking corrective action where necessary.
• Lead, motivate, and manage production employees to ensure high levels of performance and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality & food safety standards.
• Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and other support functions to optimize production performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Manage absenteeism, discipline, timekeeping, and employee relations matters in line with company policies.
• Identify training needs and support employee development within the production team.
• Ensure effective utilization of materials, equipment, and labour resources.

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within plastics injection moulding manufacturing and FMCG environments will be advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work shifts and manage operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
