Shop Attendant

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Help customers locate products and provide accurate product information.
• Recommend products based on customer needs and preferences.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash, card, and electronic payments.
• Handle cash accurately and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise.
• Ensure shelves and displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to management.
• Price and label products correctly.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory counts.
• Handle customer complaints and returns in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.
• Follow company policies, health and safety procedures, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Promote special offers, loyalty programs, and new products to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Good numerical skills for handling cash and transactions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Required language: German & English

Pay: R7 000,00 - R10 500,00 per month
