Hope4 is an international humanitarian organisation working to combat poverty and exploitation by creating sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities.

We are preparing to launch and grow our global online merchandise store, using Shopify integrated with Print-on-Demand technology, and we're looking for an experienced specialist to take ownership of the platform.

This is not an entry-level role.

We are specifically looking for someone who has at least three years' demonstrable, hands-on experience managing Shopify stores AND Print-on-Demand solutions such as Printify, Printful or equivalent.

The Role

You will be responsible for establishing, managing and optimising Hope4's e-commerce operation, initially launching with approximately 20 merchandise products and developing the store as demand grows.

The Print-on-Demand model means manufacturing, fulfilment and shipping will largely be automated. We therefore need someone who understands how to build an efficient, lean and scalable e-commerce operation, rather than creating unnecessary administration around it.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and maintaining our Shopify store
• Managing Shopify/POD integration and automated fulfilment
• Creating and updating products, variants and collections
• Producing and managing product mock-ups and listings
• Optimising product descriptions and store presentation
• Managing pricing, margins, discounts and promotional codes
• Monitoring orders and resolving fulfilment exceptions
• Managing relationships with POD suppliers
• Monitoring shipping performance and customer experience
• Basic customer service and issue resolution
• Implementing SEO and conversion optimisation
• Supporting merchandise launches and limited-edition campaigns
• Analysing sales, conversion rates, margins and product performance
• Providing concise monthly performance reporting
• Identifying opportunities to improve revenue and profitability

Essential Experience

You must have:

✓ Minimum 3 years' hands-on Shopify experience

✓ Minimum 3 years' experience working with Print-on-Demand platforms

✓ Proven experience integrating Shopify with Printify, Printful or similar

✓ Experience actually operating a live e-commerce store, not simply building websites

✓ Strong understanding of POD fulfilment, shipping, margins and product economics

✓ Experience managing products, collections, variants and promotions

✓ Understanding of Shopify analytics and conversion optimisation

✓ Ability to work independently and efficiently

We're particularly interested in applicants who can show us stores they have personally managed and measurable results they have achieved.

What We're NOT Looking For

We're not looking for someone who needs to learn Shopify or Print-on-Demand.

We're not looking for an agency proposing a large team or substantial monthly retainer.

And we're not looking to turn the management of a small automated store into a full-time operation.

We're looking for an experienced operator who understands that good e-commerce should become more efficient as automation improves.

Hours

There is significant scope for the role to grow as sales volumes increase.

We are far more interested in outputs, performance and commercial results than hours worked.
