Showroom Sales Assistant

The Role

We are looking for a friendly, confident and well-presented Showroom Sales Assistant to help customers, generate sales and maintain a professional and welcoming furniture showroom.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working with people, have strong sales ability and be comfortable learning about furniture specifications, stock availability, ordering and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and identify their furniture needs.
• Recommend suitable products based on customers’ requirements and budgets.
• Explain product features, dimensions, materials, colours and pricing.
• Convert showroom enquiries into sales and follow up on interested customers.
• Assist with quotations, orders, payments and customer information.
• Respond to enquiries in person, telephonically and via WhatsApp.
• Check stock availability and coordinate orders with the warehouse team.
• Explain delivery and collection processes clearly.
• Keep product pricing, signage and displays accurate and up to date.
• Maintain a clean, organised and attractive showroom.
• Assist with stock counts and repositioning smaller furniture items.
• Help resolve customer queries, returns or delivery concerns professionally.

Requirements

• Previous retail, showroom or customer-facing sales experience.
• Furniture, homeware or higher-value product sales experience is advantageous.
• Confident communication and sales skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Friendly, professional and well-presented.
• Computer literate and comfortable using email and WhatsApp.
• Accurate, organised and attentive to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Comfortable working towards sales targets.
• Experience with POS, order-management or stock systems is advantageous.

Pay: R9 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
