Job description
Key responsibilities
· Complete site establishment and prepare the site for construction.
· Manage earthworks, pipelines, gabions, concrete works and structural steel activities.
· Coordinate pump station, storage dam, treatment plant and electrical installation activities.
· Prepare short-term programmes, labour plans, material requirements and progress reports.
· Supervise the foreman, subcontractors and site workforce.
· Maintain quality records, site diaries, inspections and measurement records.
· Coordinate with the QS on claims, quantities and variations.
· Control labour and plant costs, including timely off-hire of unused equipment.
· Liaise with the client on utilities, access, inspections and outstanding information.
· Work with the safety officer and CLO to address site and community issues.
Proposed requirements
· Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
· At least 5 years’ civil construction experience, including site supervisory responsibility.
· Demonstrated experience on water treatment, wastewater, pump station or related infrastructure projects.
· Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs and construction programmes.
Valid driver’s licence and availability
Pay: R316 525,80 - R319 780,27 per year
