Site Agent - Construction Manager

Introduction

BCB Solutions, a leading company specialising in Routine Road Maintenance (RRM) and Road Construction, invites suitably qualified and experienced Construction Manager in Routine Road Maintenance (Site Agents) to submit their applications for inclusion in our database for current and future high value infrastructure projects across South Africa.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Site Establishment
• Resources, planning and allocation
• Cost Control: Actual vs planned
• Management and execution of Job Instructions
• Achieving Monthly certificate targets
• Compiling monthly payment certificates
• Knowledgeable of ITIS
• Weekly planning, including technical meetings with site staff
• Manage Stakeholder expectations and communication control
• Management of labour production, overseeing monthly labour wages
• Oversee site administration
• Liaison with Client/Client Representative
• Management of Sub-Contractors
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety
• Attending Site Meetings to monitor progress
• Any additional ad hoc site management functions

Desired Experience & Qualification

Applicants must possess the following:

• BEng, BSc Engineering or BTech in Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7) or a higher qualification.
• Experience in SANRAL Projects (Road Construction and/or RRM);
• Active professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng), or registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr CM) or Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr CPM).
• Workforce management experience
• A minimum of 5–10 years' experience managing SANRAL Road Construction and/or Routine Road Maintenance (RRM) projects.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Maths and IT Knowledge
• Strong Leadership skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Project (advantageous).
• Efficiency and Accuracy
• Pro-active and ability to work independently
• Loyalty
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on project sites across South Africa.

Pay: R181 458,24 - R875 894,16 per year
