Site Engineer (Civil)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer - CIPP (Cured-in-Place Pipe) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination, supervision and technical management of CIPP pipeline rehabilitation projects.

The role will involve working closely with the Project Manager, construction teams, CIPP crews, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise day-to-day CIPP installation and pipeline rehabilitation activities on site.
• Plan and co-ordinate CIPP works, including pre-installation CCTV inspections, cleaning, preparation, liner inversion, curing and post-installation inspections.
• Ensure that works are executed in accordance with approved method statements, specifications, drawings and project requirements.
• Co-ordinate site activities to achieve planned production targets and programmed deadlines.
• Monitor and control the quality of CIPP installations, including liner handling, resin preparation, installation and curing requirements.
• Ensure that all required pre and post installation CCTV inspections are comleted and properly recorded.
• Monitor curing parameters, including temperature curing times.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction related problems encountered during CIPP operations.
• Conduct site measurements and maintain accurate records of completed work.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress records, inspection records and other required project documentation.
• Assist with quality control, inspections and testing associated with CIPP works.
• Ensure that all work complies with relevant South African standards, project specifications, H&S specifications and environmental requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc/BEng/BTech/National Diploma in Civil Engineering, or related qualification.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in CIPP rehabiliation.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, quality control and site supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Good understanding of CCTV pipeline inspection and condition assessments.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and relevant construction/project management software.
• Valid drivers licence.
• Professional registration is advantageous.
