Job description
Thynk Properties is looking for a site Foreman
A construction foreman supervises, coordinates, and directs daily on-site operations, managing crews and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key duties include reading blueprints, scheduling labor, ordering materials, maintaining site safety, and mentoring workers to ensure high-quality workmanship
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Directly supervise construction crews, including laborers and subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, etc.).
- Project Planning: Interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to determine task sequence.
- Resource Management: Order, receive, and organize materials and equipment to ensure they are available for the crew.
- Scheduling & Progress: Create daily/weekly schedules, monitor productivity, and report project progress to project managers.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure compliance with construction plans and standards.
- Mentorship: Train, guide, and mentor junior staff and apprentices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years Proven experience as a construction foreman, supervisor, or similar role.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and health/safety regulations.
- Leadership: Strong ability to manage personnel, delegate tasks, and motivate teams.
- Communication: Effective communication skills for interacting with subcontractors, workers, and project managers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve on-site issues and adjust plans due to weather or delays.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with construction documents and potentially project management
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods, climb ladders, and lift heavy materials.
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Must have valid drivers license
Ability to work long hours
