Job description
Location: Alberton
Contract: 4-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Start: Immediate
Rate: R103.83 per hour gross
We are looking for a Safety Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess workplace hazards and risks.
- Implement and monitor appropriate safety control measures.
- Conduct site inspections and safety observations.
- Assist with risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety documentation (Safety File)
- Monitor compliance with OHS and project-specific requirements.
- Report and assist with investigating incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture on site.
Requirements
- Valid SACPCMP registration – essential.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience in construction, industrial or petrochemical environments advantageous.
- Good knowledge of OHS requirements.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful candidates must complete and pass the required medical examination, Shell drug screening and site-specific screening/induction requirements and be declared medically fit.
Project Duration: The position is project-specific and currently scheduled for completion by end November 2026.
