Site Manager / Quality Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Site Manager / Quality Supervisor to oversee quality management activities on power station maintenance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with contractual, statutory, and client requirements, and leading quality assurance and quality control activities throughout project execution.

This position is ideally suited to an individual with extensive experience in Eskom power station maintenance and a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:

• A Quality Management Degree or Technical Degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Management Systems within Power Station Maintenance, including practical ISO 9001 experience.

OR

• A National Diploma in Quality Management or Technical National Diploma with a minimum of 7 years' experience in Quality Management Systems within Power Station Maintenance, including practical ISO 9001 experience.

OR

• A Technical N6 Qualification with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Quality Management Systems within Power Station Maintenance, including practical ISO 9001 experience.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A qualification aligned to SAQA NQF Level 6 or higher.
• Membership of a recognised professional Technical and/or Quality Management institute (advantageous).
• Certificates in Quality Management-related training.
• Management and/or Supervisory training.
• Proven experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation and auditing.
• Practical commissioning and decommissioning experience within power station maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of Eskom business processes and quality requirements.
• Thorough understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and associated regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all site quality activities and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Supervise quality personnel and coordinate quality inspections and testing.
• Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained.
• Conduct internal quality audits and facilitate external audits.
• Investigate and close out non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project management on quality-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with Eskom standards, contractual requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Support commissioning and decommissioning activities from a quality assurance perspective.
• Promote a culture of continual improvement, safety, and operational excellence.

Remuneration

A competitive salary package will be offered and will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the successful candidate's demonstrated ability.
