Site Production Manager

About the Position

Cultura Fresh is looking for a motivated and hands-on Site Production Manager to join our commercial hydroponic farming operation.

Working closely with the Chief Cultivation Officer, you will receive practical training and mentorship while taking responsibility for the daily operation of one of our production sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in modern agriculture.

This is a field-based role, with most of your time spent managing production teams, monitoring crops and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of a hydroponic production site.
• Lead and supervise production staff.
• Monitor crop health, irrigation and fertiliser programmes.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities.
• Ensure compliance with GlobalG.A.P., food safety and company procedures.
• Manage production inputs, stock and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Assist with harvest planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Production, Agronomy or related field.
• 2–3 years' commercial farming experience.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Computer literate.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Willing and able to work outdoors.

Hydroponic experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
