Site Security Manager

AAH Investment Properties (Pty) Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Site Security Manager with strong experience in the security industry to manage security operations at one of our construction sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all site security activities, managing security officers, ensuring access control, protecting company assets, monitoring site risks, and ensuring that security services are delivered professionally and in line with company and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• More than six (6) years’ relevant experience in the security industry.
• Proven experience in a site management or project management role within the security sector.
• Experience managing security operations on construction sites will be an added advantage.
• Valid South African Identity Document.
• Valid driver’s license.
• PSIRA Grade A or Grade B registration.
• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Post-matric qualification in security or a related field.
• Good knowledge of access control, guarding services, patrols, incident response and site risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage shifts, security officers, site procedures and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing daily security operations at the construction site.
• Supervising security officers deployed on site.
• Ensuring proper access and exit control for employees, contractors, visitors, suppliers and vehicles.
• Protecting construction materials, equipment, tools, plant, machinery and company property.
• Monitoring site risks, suspicious activities, theft, vandalism and unauthorised access.
• Ensuring security officers conduct regular patrols around the construction site.
• Maintaining proper record keeping, including occurrence books, visitor registers, vehicle registers, incident reports and shift handover reports.
• Ensuring compliance with PSIRA requirements, company policies and site rules.
• Liaising with site management, contractors, security officers and company management.
• Responding to security incidents, emergencies and operational challenges.
• Preparing and submitting daily, weekly and monthly site security reports.
• Ensuring all security personnel are properly posted, briefed, disciplined and professionally presented.
• Assisting with enforcement of health, safety and security procedures on site.
