Job description
Job Purpose
To facilitate and optimise Learning and Development sessions on processes; products; systems and technology to improve the knowledge; skills and performance of employees thereby enhancing the overall performance of the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct learning needs analyses with business stakeholders to identify capability gaps and develop targeted learning and development solutions.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to understand business priorities, determine learning requirements and develop effective training interventions that support business objectives.
- Design, develop, implement and evaluate end-to-end learning interventions, including training plans, curricula, facilitator guides, assessments, job aids and performance support resources, across asset management products, including Unit Trusts, Tax-Free Investments, Endowments, Retirement Annuities, Preservation Funds and Living Annuities.
- Translate complex investment, product, process, system and regulatory information into practical, engaging and client-centric learning solutions for consultants, sales support teams, financial planners and other client-facing audiences.
- Design and facilitate learning interventions using a variety of methodologies, including classroom, virtual, digital and blended learning approaches, to ensure optimal knowledge transfer and learner engagement.
- Create innovative and engaging learning experiences through role plays, simulations, case studies, practical exercises, assessments and digital learning solutions.
- Support business readiness by designing and delivering learning interventions in response to product, process, system and regulatory changes, ensuring effective implementation and adoption.
- Monitor learner progress, competence and the transfer of knowledge through appropriate assessment and evaluation methods, ensuring learning objectives are achieved.
- Request, analyse and apply learner and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve learning interventions and learner outcomes.
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships and provide expert guidance on learning, capability development and performance improvement initiatives.
- Work independently with a high degree of ownership, judgement and foresight, proactively identifying stakeholder needs and recommending learning solutions with minimal supervision.
- Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously, delivering high-quality solutions within agreed timelines and adapting quickly to changing business priorities.
- Ensure training-related administration, reporting and recordkeeping requirements are completed accurately and timeously.
- Enhance productivity by recommending and implementing innovative learning methodologies and solutions that improve employee capability and business performance.
- Align learning solutions to organisational strategy, enabling employees to confidently apply new knowledge, enhance client outcomes and support business growth.
- Contribute to the broader Learning & Development (L&D) team by supporting cross-functional initiatives, sharing best practices, and collaborating on projects that enhance learning, talent, and organisational development outcomes. Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Science Degree Essential Certifications
- Certified technical trainer Minimum Experience Level
- 3 years facilitating experience in a related business environment, preferably within Financial Services, Asset Management, Investments or a client servicing environment. Technical / Professional Knowledge
