Tronox Mineral Sands invites applications for a Smelter Learnership Programme. This opportunity is aimed at unemployed youth residing within the Saldanha Bay Municipal area who have obtained a Grade 12 qualification and have little or no formal work experience.

Successful candidates will enter into a 12-month fixed-term learnership agreement with Tronox Mineral Sands. This learnership is a training opportunity and does not constitute a contract of employment. Completion of the programme does not guarantee permanent employment.

What the Learnership Offers:

The learnership offers participants the opportunity to gain a qualification while acquiring practical workplace experience through structured on-the-job training. Participants will receive a monthly stipend, gain exposure to modern production processes and technologies, and build a strong foundation for future career opportunities within the metals and manufacturing industry.

Selection and Qualifying Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be South African citizens.
• Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
• Have successfully completed Grade 12.
• Mathematics and Physical Science will be advantageous.
• Be currently unemployed.
• Have no criminal record.
• Have not previously participated in a funded learnership programme.
• Reside within the Saldanha Bay Municipal area.
• Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates in accordance with Tronox Employment Equity Policy.
