SUMMARY: Litigation Secretary – Law Firm: East Rand
POSITION INFO: Employer Description A well-established legal practice based in the East Rand. Job Description Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support to a practising attorney. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity, with a minimum of two days per week in the office and three days working remotely. Initial training will be conducted in-office over a period of several weeks to ensure full integration into systems and workflows. This role is suited to a mature, highly organised professional with strong litigation experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment. You will be responsible for: Provide full secretarial support to a litigation attorney Drafting, typing, formatting and finalising legal documents Managing court filings, notices, pleadings, and correspondence Diary management and coordination of court dates and deadlines Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and third parties Maintaining accurate case files and records General administrative support within the litigation department Skills The successful candidate will have: Minimum 5 years' experience in a litigation secretarial role Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court processes Excellent typing, formatting, and document preparation skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment Stable work history preferred Benefits Hybrid working model (post-training) Training on Ghost Practice software Permanent position with a well-established law firm
