Location City of Ekurhuleni Remuneration R 935,472 to R 1,283,292 - Basic salary per annum (plus benefits) Assignment Type Permanent Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Public Administration / Business Administration or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
• 3 - 5 years' experience in administration / Local Government
• Knowledge of the MFMA

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, direct and control Departmental support practices, ensuring compliance with the organisational administration practices and Local Government Acts
• Create context, implement and drive execution of the operational plans for the office to ensure an overall support services operational strategy and plan
• Implement and develop effective administrative processes to meet operational objectives and goals to ensure optimum and effective attainment of operational goals
• Provide management of human resources in the City Manager's office to ensure proper, sound management and administration of the human resources function
• Responsible for the compilation of budget and implementation thereof to ensure cost effective utilisation of resources and accurate reporting on the budget
• Manage the administration and archiving of the City Manager's office to ensure easy access, reliability and safekeeping of the system
• Customer service orientation to ensure compliance with the Batho Pele principles

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
