LinkedIn Content Creator (Part-Time, Remote – South Africa) Ilex Search | Contract | 20 hrs/week | R4,000/month
About the Role
Ilex Search is a boutique executive search firm specializing in senior leadership hiring for data centre construction projects across the US. We're looking for a part-time LinkedIn Content Creator to help grow our presence and authority in the hyperscale and mission-critical construction market.
This is a remote, part-time contract initially set at one month, with strong potential to convert to a full-time role for the right person.
What You'll Be Doing
- Researching and crafting 5–6 LinkedIn posts per week, focused on the US data centre construction market
- Covering topics including hyperscale development, GC activity, power infrastructure, hiring trends, and key industry players
- Sourcing credible data points, news, and market developments to anchor posts
- Writing in a defined brand voice — punchy, factual, insight-led, no fluff
- Scheduling and publishing posts via Buffer
- Creating lead magnets, including market reports, hiring guides, salary benchmarks, and one-pagers targeted at GCs and data centre operators in the US
- Developing content designed to drive inbound traffic and enquiries from senior construction professionals and hiring decision-makers
- Tracking post performance and iterating based on engagement data
What We're Looking For
- Strong research skills and the ability to turn complex industry information into clear, engaging content
- Experience creating lead magnets or downloadable content assets (guides, reports, checklists)
- Understanding of basic LinkedIn growth and content distribution strategies
- Excellent written English with a feel for professional social media tone
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal hand-holding
- Interest in or familiarity with construction, infrastructure, or real estate sectors is a plus
- Prior LinkedIn content or B2B content experience preferred but not essential
