Job Purpose:
To manage and grow the company’s social media presence by creating engaging content, promoting products, and supporting sales through digital marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities: Content Execution & Publishing
- Plan, create, and publish content across all social media pages in line with the content calendar and campaign objectives.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of products, warehouse operations, deliveries, installations, and promotional activity.
- Edit daily video content by transforming raw footage into engaging, sales-driven content.
- Create and design supporting assets including static posts, carousels, promotional graphics, thumbnails, cover images, and ad creatives.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and maintains strict posting consistency across all platforms.
Content Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and logistics) to source content such as deliveries, installations, product highlights, and in-store activity.
- Identify content gaps and proactively request specific footage or images to ensure consistent output.
- Assist in planning, briefing, and coordinating basic photo and video shoots when required.
- Maintain and execute the structured content calendar provided by the Marketing Specialist.
Community Management
- Monitor and manage comments, direct messages, and inquiries across all social media platforms.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries, ensuring leads are directed to the appropriate sales channels.
- Escalate complaints, negative feedback, or sensitive issues to the Marketing Specialist for resolution.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across all interactions.
- Track recurring questions and customer feedback to provide insights that improve content, messaging, and customer experience.
Performance Tracking
- Track daily and weekly performance metrics including reach, engagement, views, and lead generation across all platforms.
- Identify high-performing content, trends, and engagement patterns to understand what drives results.
- Compile concise weekly reports for the Marketing Specialist, highlighting key insights, top-performing content, and areas for improvement.
- Use performance data to continuously optimize future content and improve campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure insights are actionable and directly tied to improving engagement, consistency, and conversions.
Trend Monitoring
- Continuously monitor social media trends, including formats, sounds, editing styles, and platform updates.
- Analyse competitor activity and industry content to identify opportunities, gaps, and emerging content patterns.
- Proactively propose relevant, on-brand content ideas based on trends, ensuring they are adapted for engagement and sales impact.
- Translate trends into practical, campaign-aligned content ideas that support current promotions and business goals.
- Provide ongoing input to keep content fresh, competitive, and aligned with market performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Certificate or Diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Communications (advantageous).
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience managing social media accounts.
- Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, video editing apps).
