SOURCING SPECIALIST – NON-MOTOR CLAIMS PROCUREMENT

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to support the procurement of services and suppliers within Non-Motor Claims. The successful candidate will have strong sourcing and supplier management experience, with specific exposure to contents, salvage, building and plumbing claims-related procurement.

The role will be responsible for sourcing suitable suppliers, negotiating competitive rates and commercial terms, managing supplier performance, and ensuring procurement activities support efficient and cost-effective claims resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement activities relating to Non-Motor Claims.
• Source and evaluate suppliers across:
• Contents
• Salvage
• Building and construction
• Plumbing
• Related claims repair and reinstatement services
• Identify and onboard suitable suppliers in line with procurement requirements.
• Conduct RFQs, tenders and competitive sourcing processes.
• Obtain and analyse supplier quotations and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, service levels, contractual terms and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed SLAs, pricing, quality and turnaround times.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier coverage, service delivery and procurement efficiencies.
• Analyse spend and supplier performance to identify savings and optimisation opportunities.
• Work closely with Claims, Procurement, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure suppliers meet required compliance, quality and service standards.
• Support contract negotiations, renewals and supplier reviews.
• Maintain accurate procurement and supplier documentation and reporting.
• Assist with resolving supplier and service-delivery issues.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or a related field.
• 3–5+ years' experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably within the insurance or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated experience in Non-Motor Claims Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of at least several of the following:
• Contents claims
• Salvage
• Building repairs
• Plumbing
• Property repairs / reinstatement
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, RFQs, negotiations and supplier management.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, governance and compliance.
• Strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a mid- to senior-level sourcing professional who understands the operational requirements of Non-Motor Claims and has an established network or strong knowledge of suppliers within the contents, salvage, building and plumbing environment. They should be commercially astute, confident in negotiations, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced claims environment.

Pay: R35 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month
