Sous Chef

Brown Sugar Oceans is looking for a passionate, experienced, and hands-on Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have exceptional culinary skills, and are committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimize food wastage.
• Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff.
• Step into the Head Chef's role when required.
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3–5 years' experience as a Sous Chef.
• Culinary qualification will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of food costing, stock control, and kitchen administration.
• Excellent understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Flexible to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
