Job Description: Auto Pedigree is looking for a Specialist: Accountant to join its Head Office in Spartan, Kempton Park. This position is an ideal opportunity for a trustworthy, detail-oriented individual with strong financial administration skills. The role reports directly to the Financial Manager.

Position Overview: The purpose of the position is to apply accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures and governance.

Minimum Experience:

• 2 years minimum experience in a similar environment– preferable.

Minimum Qualification:

• Matric / Grade 12 – essential
• BCom Financial Accounting or equivalent accounting qualification – essential

Minimum Requirements

• A Code 8 Driver’s License is essential.
• Completed Articles and 1-2 years post articles experience – preferable.
• Highly proficient in Excel with a fair knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products – essential

Job Outp****uts:

• Income statement and balance sheet reviews to ensure accurate reporting
• Monthly expense pivots
• Compilation and circulation of management accounts monthly as well as discuss outcomes and postings with branches and finance staff to resolve queries which may arise.
• Completion and submission of monthly reconciliation files to management for review.
• Accounting Information System maintenance such as adding GL accounts, branches, and updating budgets
• Compilation of Spotters PAYE schedules for payroll
• Checking cashbook payments
• Upkeeping financial records such as journal and credit note files
• Preparation of payments for F&I products to suppliers
