Specialist: Cryptographic Services

Are you an IT professional with a strong technical mindset and an interest in cybersecurity, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Digital Trust technologies?

We are looking for a Specialist: Cryptographic Services to join a technical operations environment where you will play an important role in supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting PKI and Digital Trust solutions.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with customers and learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

You will ideally have:

• An IT degree, diploma or relevant technical certification.
• 2–5 years' related IT experience.
• Experience with information security solutions would be advantageous.
• Experience with monitoring systems.
• Working experience in Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Knowledge of certificate-enabled applications such as SSL/TLS, S/MIME and Code Signing.
• Networking experience, including IP routing and switching.
• Knowledge of network design and implementation.
• Experience installing, configuring and supporting servers, routers, switches and related infrastructure.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP and OSI network layers.
• Experience with REST APIs, custom plug-ins and PowerShell scripting.
• Exposure to Identity and Access Management, including SSO and Active Directory.
• Experience with virtualisation and containerisation would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of PKI concepts, patterns and practices would be advantageous.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational and technical support across PKI, Digital Trust and related technology solutions, including:

• Providing technical support and resolving customer queries and support calls.
• Supporting PKI and Digital Trust solutions and related software and hardware.
• Working with technologies such as Entrust Security Manager, Entrust IDaaS, Venafi, BioTrust, SigningHub and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).
• Configuring and maintaining servers and processes, while monitoring system health, performance, availability and security.
• Supporting a hosted IT environment.
• Monitoring production systems and escalating exceptions when required.
• Assisting with software installations, testing and system maintenance.
• Working alongside deployment teams on customer implementations, workshops and technical deployments.
• Managing tickets and project tasks through the Service Desk.
• Working with vendors and other technical teams to resolve problems.
• Continuously developing your technical knowledge and completing relevant certifications.
