Introduction
Komatsu Africa Holdings is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Specialist: Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to join our Parts Distribution Centre team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, process continuity, and SAP EWM system integrity by resolving warehouse management exceptions and operational deviations.
This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse systems professional who thrives on problem-solving, data analysis, and driving operational excellence within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Business Analysis/Industrial Engineering or related field (NQF 6 ) (Essential)
- B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Business Analysis, or a related field (NQF 7) (Advantage).
Experience
- Minimum 4 years' in inventory control and warehouse operations (Essential)
- Experience working with SAP Warehouse Management in a large warehouse environment (Advantage)
- Strong reporting and data analysis capabilities.
Technical Skills
- Intermediate SAP WM knowledge.
- Intermediate SAP EWM knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve SAP EWM system exceptions and warehouse transaction failures.
- Analyse inventory discrepancies, short picks, damaged stock, and quantity variances.
- Apply appropriate EWM exception codes and task adjustments to maintain operational flow.
- Escalate critical and recurring issues while recommending preventative measures.
- Support inventory control processes, cycle counts, audits, and quality management activities.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve system and process-related issues.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly exception management reports and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through trend analysis and system monitoring.
