Job description
Staff Accountant – Client Relations**- US Remote**
Blueprint Legal is recruiting a Staff Accountant for a growing US-based client serving primarily non-profit organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for US-based clients.
- Maintain records in QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile bank and credit-card accounts.
- Assist with month-end reporting.
- Communicate directly with clients.
- Identify discrepancies and raise issues proactively.
- Grow towards managing a portfolio of 10–15 clients.
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Finance Qualification
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Near-native spoken and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- Confidence communicating with clients.
- Stable internet connection and dedicated home-office setup.
Preferred
- Understanding of US GAAP.
- Experience with Bill.com.
- Experience supporting US or non-profit clients.
Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Remote independent contractor arrangement.
- Core availability: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET
- (3:00 PM to 10:00 PM SAST during US daylight saving time; 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM SAST during US standard time).
- Compensation: R16,000.00 per month.
