Steward/Sculler Supervisor (Kitchen)

Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an experienced Steward / Sculler Supervisor to join a busy hospitality operation in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation while supporting a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the Stewarding and Scullery team on a daily basis
• Ensure all kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly
• Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in line with company policies
• Monitor cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are kept clean and organised
• Manage stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment
• Train, coach, and motivate the Stewarding team
• Allocate daily duties and ensure work is completed efficiently
• Work closely with the Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to support smooth operations
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor, Scullery Supervisor, or in a similar hospitality role
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, cleaning procedures, and food safety standards
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well under pressure
