Job Description

Crown Bag is looking for a highly organized and detail-focused Stock Controller to oversee inventory management and stock control processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining stock integrity, supporting production processes, and contributing to effective inventory planning and reporting.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / NQF 4
• 3-5 years' experience in stock control, inventory management or stores administration
• Experience within manufacturing, agriculture or warehousing environments will serve as a recommendation
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Computer literate, with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Understanding of stock management principles and controls
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Strong attention to detail

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage inventory control processes
• Monitor daily incoming and outgoing stock transactions
• Conduct stock reconciliations and investigate variances
• Prepare and maintain stock lists and inventory records
• Generate and analyze inventory reports to ensure optimal stock levels
• Prepare monthly stock reports and variance explanations
• Prepare month-end stock journals for review and approval
• Coordinate and support stock counts and audits
• Purchase raw materials in line with operational requirements
• Monitor stock movements related to production activities
• Capture and process daily production information
• Assist in implementing inventory control improvements and best practices

• Good planning and organizational skills
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to identify and mitigate stock-related risks
• Proficiency in Afrikaans and English will serve as an advantage
