Stock Controller

Lumax Energy is a manufacturer of solar mounting and engineered structural solutions for the renewable energy sector. As part of a business focused on quality, control and operational reliability, the company plays an important role in supporting the movement and integrity of stock across its warehouse environment.

This role is suited to someone who takes ownership of stock accuracy and thrives in a structured, process-driven environment. As Stock Controller, you will work closely with warehouse operations to help maintain strong inventory controls, support smooth day-to-day stock flow, and uphold the standards needed for accurate reporting and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock accuracy
• Conduct cycle counts and stocktakes
• Investigate variances
• Control stock movements
• Ensure ERP transactions are accurate
• Monitor receiving and dispatch processes
• Maintain bin discipline
• Support audit readiness
• Stop any stock movement or dispatch where documentation, quantities or system records are incorrect

Requirements Required Qualifications

• Matric
• 3 to 5 years of experience in stock control, warehousing, or inventory control, including cycle counts, full stocktakes, variance investigations, and audit readiness
• Experience controlling stock in a high-volume inventory environment with multiple product codes, bins, locations, units of measure, and frequent stock movements
• Hands-on experience processing and reconciling stock transactions in an ERP system, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, picking, dispatches, and stock enquiries
• Strong Excel capability, including filters, formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and stock reconciliations
• Proven ability to control end-to-end stock movements across receiving, transfers, picking, dispatch, returns, adjustments, damaged stock, and quarantine stock, and to reconcile physical stock to ERP records while tracing discrepancies to the relevant transaction, document, user, or stock movement
• Experience investigating stock losses, shrinkage, unexplained adjustments, and recurring variances
• Confidence to challenge incorrect stock activity and stop receiving, transfers, picking, or dispatch where quantities, documentation, system records, and physical stock do not agree
• Able to perform regular physical stock counts throughout a warehouse environment and inspect stock in different storage locations
• Able to communicate clearly in English and prepare accurate stock reports, variance reports, and investigation findings
• Eligible to work in South Africa
• Able to work full-time on-site at the appointed Lumax Energy facility, with reliable transport for occasional planned after-hours or weekend stock counts
• Available for occasional planned after-hours or weekend stocktakes and cycle-counting activities when operationally required

Preferred Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in stock control, logistics, or supply chain
• Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction materials, metal products, or renewable energy components
• Experience with K8
• Familiarity with barcode scanners, handheld stock devices, or warehouse location systems
• Experience working with pack quantities, bundles, lengths, individual components, and different units of measure
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 or similarly controlled and audited environment
